Supported Languages
The 杉厘科技 Translate app supports 14 target languages, plus auto-detect on the source side. The list below matches what you will see in the language dropdowns at /Translate/.

Notes on individual languages
- Traditional vs Simplified Chinese — these are treated as distinct options because their scripts, vocabulary, and typical audience differ. Pick the one your reader uses.
- Auto-detect — reasonable for clear, single-language input. If your text mixes two languages heavily, results may be uneven; try setting the source language explicitly.
- Arabic — right-to-left text is preserved. The layout of the output box switches direction automatically for RTL content.
- Regional variants — the tool does not currently expose sub-variants (for example, Latin American vs European Spanish). It returns whatever the underlying model considers most neutral.
What about a language not on the list?
The dropdowns are fixed to the 14 target languages above. If you need a language that is not on the list, please use another tool. If there is demand for a specific addition, let us know via the Contact page.
Quality expectations
Machine translation quality is generally best between high-resource pairs (English ↔ major European or East Asian languages) and can drop for less common pairs or specialized vocabulary. See the Translate Guide for tips.
